OldCord is a test project. We store only what's needed to run the service. We don't sell your data. Don't use real passwords from other services.

1. Information We Collect

• Username, email address, and password (hashed) when you register
• Messages you send within the platform
• Server and channel data you create
• Last seen timestamp for online status
• IP address in session data

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and operate the OldCord service
• To authenticate your account
• To display your profile and messages to other users
• To show online/offline status

3. Data Storage

• Data is stored in a MySQL database
• Passwords are hashed using SHA-256 and never stored in plain text
• Sessions expire after 30 days of inactivity
• We do not guarantee data persistence — this is an educational project

4. Data Sharing

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not share your data with advertisers
• Your messages are visible to other users in the same channels/conversations
• Server administrators can see messages in their servers

5. Data Security

• This is a test project and may not have production-grade security
• Do not use real passwords from Discord or other services
• Do not share sensitive personal information
• We cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted over the internet

6. Your Rights

• You can delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• You can edit or delete your messages
• You can leave servers at any time

7. Cookies

• We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in
• No tracking or advertising cookies are used

8. Children's Privacy

• OldCord is not intended for users under 13 years of age
• We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13
